Basically Feed In Tariff is a mechanism whereby government or special agency to buy back the power generation from renewable energy. The categories of renewable energy eligible for Feed In Tariff is depends on each country's government policy. Below are some of the update of Feed In Tariff for each country:
Malaysia
Finally the FIT (Feed In Tariff) approved by parliament of Malaysia and will be starting on September of 2011. However, some of the renewable energy is not included in this act, such as wind.
Just got another information about Thailand system which they call it Adder system instead of FIT. The adder system will compensate more for wind and lesser for Solar compare to Malaysia. Anyway, this adder system recorded is only review on 4th June 2007, wonder there is latest adder system rate??
Philippines
Singapore
Anyone can update me about the FIT system in their country and correct me if I posted any wrong information?
Finally FIT is executed in Malaysia in 1st of December 2011. The feedback is tremendous for PV application, but how about others?
